MERLOT IGT Veneto
MERLOT IGT Veneto
Merlot 100%
This vine comes from the wine-growing region of south-west France, specifically from the Gironde district called Medoc, and seems to have been imported towards the end of the 19th century in Friuli by Senator Pecile and Count Brazza. From here it spread throughout Italy.
Once ripe, the grapes are manually harvested in crates and transported to the cellar, where they are destemmed and fermented in steel tanks for 15-20 days depending on the year. After racking, the wine is stored in cement tanks to better stabilize and clean itself. At the beginning of the new year, a few rackings are made and the wine is filtered, bottled and left in the bottle for a few months.
