The first news of the Pinella grape dates back to the beginning of the 14th century and comes from the Friuli region, but this vine has always been identified as one of the best of the Euganean Hills.
Today there are only 10 hectares of Pinella vineyards in the world and they are located right on the Euganean Hills and despite its historical, biological and viticultural importance, this vine is usually used to produce a light, acidulous and sparkling wine.

On the contrary, the La Costa company wanted to propose a wine that reflects the characteristics of the vine and the territory, collecting in Rime Disperse the most authentic traits of these hills revisited by the taste of the Facchin family just as in the Rerum Vulgarium Fragmenta one can find the most casual thoughts of the great poet Petrarca contaminated by the passing down of the work in various manuscript copies before printing.

The harvest is done by hand, in crates, when the grapes have reached optimal ripeness. The grapes arriving in the cellar are destemmed and cooled to a temperature of 7-8°C and softly pressed. The must obtained is placed in a steel tank for 12 hours at a controlled temperature to clarify. Decanted, it is fermented at a controlled temperature of 18-20°C. Cooled and filtered, it is left for a short period in the tank and immediately bottled.
